Hardcover. Very good book in a fair+/good- DJ. Text is clean & unmarked. Sound binding. Some yellowing of pages with age. DJ would be considered good/very good if not for 3/4" tear with piece missing at top of spine in front. Mild yellowing of DJ.
Hardcover. Fair. Glasgow: Francis Orr & Sons (1842). 6 3/4 x 4 inches. Full black leather with decorative gilt on both boards and spine. Marble paste downs. Previous owner's name written on ffep. Brief notes on rear end page. Rear hinge fully intact, but front board & spine completely detached. Front board attached to book with several pieces of clear tape (please see photo). Moderate edge/corner wear to cover. Text block is sound and all pages accounted for. Pages yellowed with age, but the only foxing (mild) is noted on the end papers.
Softcover. Good overall. Text is clean & tight & unmarked. Moderate cover/edge wear with slight sun-fading of spine & yellowing of cover. Bumping/mild creasing of top of spine.
