Baxters opposition to twelve arguments concerning worship by the lyturgy" 1684, 40 pp. Both are FIRST EDITIONS. Repair to first Title page (please see photo), 33-45 (tiny tear), second Title page (photo) & bottom of last page (photo). Small open tear to lateral edge of pp. 31 & 79. Foxing/browning throughout. Signed by John Brown on first Title page; it is not known whether or not he is the John Brown of Haddington, but his signature (on top) can be compared with signature found in book (on bottom) — see photo. Amateur binding in modern calf in very good condition; binding sound. Additional photos upon request.
