Hardcover. Fair+/Good– Ex-library with usual stamps & marks; "X" written on inferior text block. Damage/cracking (1/2") to front hinge. Damage/residual glue to back endpapers where pocket was removed. Bookplate inside front cover. Previous owner's name written on 2nd fep (dated March 20th 1895). Pages browned with age. Weakening of gutter between pp 108 & 109. Cracking of rear hinge. Occasional marginal mark/rare underlining. Wear & some discoloration to cover, especially at spine bottom (where it appears that someone tried to remove spine label). No DJ.

Large open tear with missing text p. 53 (Part 2) with two smaller open tears of p. 55 (does not effect text). Two inscriptions on rear fep. "White House prayer" attached inside front cover. Heavy cover/edge wear with cracking/chipping of spine; spine label is missing. Scuffing of boards front & back; heavy rubbing of corners. Some swelling of text pages (please see photos). No DJ.
